The
third day of the Erasmus+ project started with a visit to the premises of a
very successful business in Konya, Tugba Karasapan a very popular salon in
the area. Teachers and students learned about the hard journey of business
development, the risks, but also the rewards involved.
We then headed to the Butterfly Valley
Tour, a truly special place, full of bright colours and thousands of
butterflies surrounding us from all sides. This reservation is extremely
popular and visited because of the soothing environment provided by the
tropical plants and the beauty of the little creatures.
The road then led us to a walk through the Old
Town, where we had the opportunity to admire both the museum dedicated to
the history of this city and the impressive Orthodox church (Sille Ancient
Tour), learning its interesting stories.
We arrived at the most awaited moment of
the day, visiting the dinosaur park (80 Binde Devr-i Alem Park Tour) truly
one of the most special sights. Here we were introduced to a fairy tale
world. We admired sculptures of characters from Disney and Marvel stories,
old films and representatives of many famous stories as well as models of
many important buildings in Turkey and the world. The second part of the
park, the dinosaur part, captivated everyone as they saw all types of
dinosaurs in life size.

place full of history and stories that captivated both students and
teachers. It is named after the poet Mevlana, who is buried there.
Our students' journey continues with visits to local
businesses such as a beauty salon and bazaars. On this occasion, they learnt
about the steps involved in running a business and the effort it takes to
make it happen.
Afterwards, the students together with their
teachers had the opportunity to visit the Konya Science Centre where they
admired inventions, robots and different machines. At the same time, they
could test all kinds of new toys and devices. This large science centre has
several parts, one of the most popular with the youngsters being the
Planetarium.
They had dinner at the Kulesini Tower Restaurant,
a 42-storey, 163-metre restaurant, one of the world’s most important sights.

The day started with the presentation of business plans by students from the
host country. This was followed by the multinational groups' presentations.
One of the projects was called Disa Sport and was born from a simple idea.
Why should people with certain disabilities not have the same opportunities?
So Cristina's team tried to help them by creating a sports shop in Romania
especially for them, the name coming from the word "disability". Iosif's
team's business was called Castle Soccer. It consisted of building a sports
shop in the city of Elhovo, Bulgaria, for all football fans. GYM ATLETICS
was the proposal of Eoden's team, a business that aimed to meet the needs of
those who want to lose weight or tone their muscles. Felix's team created a
business, Asrp Protacs, which was aimed at shooting enthusiasts. Another
business, proposed by Francesca and her colleagues, was called ZuluFit and
aimed to set up a fitness gym.
The business ideas turned out to be highly appreciated and realistic.
Certificates of participation were then handed out.
The feedback of the whole mobility was done by filling in questionnaires.
The whole activity ended with a farewell reception in a relaxed atmosphere.
Thank you very much to the hosts and congratulations for the whole activity! |

Cultural visit Bruges, Ghent
The city of Bruges is considered the most preserved medieval city in Belgium
and attracts millions of visitors every year.
We admired the Lake of Love, the Basilica of the Holy Blood, the fish
market, the city's waterways, the town hall, the Church of the Mother of God
with its impressive 112 m high spire, the oldest building in the city, St.
John's Hospital and many other impressive buildings. The shop windows full
of chocolate delights also caught our attention. Another attraction is the
fine lace. We enjoyed the famous Belgian potatoes.
In Ghent, the national teams used the application to discover the city's
sights: the Belfort Tower, dominated by the image of a dragon, 91 m high,
the city hall, the Stadhuis, St Bavo's Cathedral, St Nicholas Church, St
Michael's Bridge, the city's medieval harbour, the Graslei, St Jacob's
Church.
The students of our team were again on top.
In the evening we had a festive dinner together. |

Students continued in mixed international groups to create business plans
aimed at promoting sport. The business plans focused on fitness and the sale
of sporting goods.
They established a marketing strategy, identified potential beneficiaries,
made a budget, identified material and human resources needed for their
business.
A special guest, the manager of the sports base, presented the Aquatopia
project, a local project that aimed to build a sports base for swimming.
Information was presented about the design of the base, the budget, the
management of the business, the maintenance costs, profit, etc.
In the afternoon, we were challenged to bowling. |

We were then invited to a dual sports school, where students and teachers
talked to us about the cycling profession and other professions related to
it. In fact, the Belgian people love this sport.
In the afternoon, the whole team played badminton. |

The project activities started in the city library, Utopia. Here, we were
welcomed by an education officer from the Aastl area and the principals of
the Go! Handelsschool.
Next, we met the members of the project teams from each country.
The first activity was challenging and aroused the students' interest. The
members of the national teams had to discover information in the library
from all fields related to their home country. For our team it was a
difficult task because the information about our country was scarce. In the
end, we found that our team discovered information from the most diverse
fields: sports, geography, history and literature. We had the opportunity to
share with our colleagues in the project information about Nadia Comaneci,
about the grandeur of the Carpathian Mountains, about the 1989 Revolution.
On the library shelves, there was also the novel Miss Cristina by Mircea
Eliade and a dictionary.
The hosts challenged us with sports games specific to the host country.
We then had lunch in the restaurant of the highschool with a tourism
profile. The chosen dishes were served by the students of the highschool. We
gave everyone trinkets.
In the afternoon, we travelled by train to Brussels. Here the highschool
students showed us the most important sights of the city: the Grand Place,
the Saint Michel Cathedral, the domains and the royal palace.
We enjoyed grofre with different toppings and lots of chocolate.
A successful day full of challenges! |

Sunday was the day
of travel and thrill of the upcoming event for all the participants. So many
hours of preparations - exchanging the information and mails, planning the
details of exchange, attending videoconferencies, shooting students'
introduction videos, preparing presentations for each other and many other
activities... We have done all this and even more and finally there was
"the D day" - the mobility itself was about to start!
The first team to arrive were the Turkish, shortly afterwards
the Bulgarian students with teachers Zina and Sylvia arrived. During the
afternoon as well the biggest Romanian group, which used its own minivan for
transport, arrived safely to the place of accommodation. Hotel "U Přehrady",
located in the village of Moravka, not far from Frydek-Mistek was chosen to
host this international students event. (??The hotel common room was
transformed into a students conference room, with the desk workstations for
group work of the students and all the necessary technical equipment, such
as laptops, dataprojector, printer, loudspeakers, wi-fi connection etc.)
Upon arrival, everyone was welcomed, students and teachers were accommodated
in rooms according to their wishes and preferencies. Later that evening the
Belgian group arrived, too. |

The first day of
the official programme started with a welcome ceremony. The headmaster of
Primmat Private secondary school of business, Ms Eva Zykmundova warmly
welcomed all the guests and wished them a very nice and enriching stay.
Afterwards the pair of host guides, lovely Czech students Nikola Kabatova
and Klara Hrbačkova, made all the guests familiar with the detailled
programme of the mobility, both in Czech and English language. The
presentations of Czech students followed: Denis Mařik presented the Czech
republic, with a particular emphasis on tourism in hosting country. Vanessa
Martynkova continued with the presentation of the Education system in
Czechia and the block of presentations was ended with Veronika Legutova
proudly presenting both key information about economy and business and
tourist highlights of the Moravian-Silesian region.
After a short coffeebreak the programme went on and the floor
was given to our guests. The Turkish, Bulgarian, Romanian and Belgian
students prepared lovely presentations, containing basic information about
the countries and region they were coming from, with a special regard to
business, tourism and places of interest in their home countries and
regions. All the presentations were prepared with a great care and proved a
good level of communicative skills in English language. This part of the
programme helped the students to get the first impression of each other and
broaden the picture of the participating countries in our minds!
The afternoon programme was dedicated to the first field
trip. After lunch the bus picked us up and some important places for the
local economy were waiting for us! Our first stop was the company Marlenka
in Frydek-Mistek. A cozy and modern visitor centre welcomed us, where
delicious coffee and a tasting plate with cakes were served. During the
guided tour could we see the state-of-the-art factory and a breath-taking
entrepreneurial career of Mr Avetisjan, founder of the company, was
presented. After the tour just short shopping in the Marlenka company store,
a commor photo in front of the building and we had to continue to Ostrava.
There, in the Lower Vitkovice District, could our guests see a completely
different face of local business. The industrial history of the region was
revealed. The guide presented them a unique area where coal mines, cokeries,
blast furnaces, ironworks and steelworks shaped the history of heavy
industry in our country and influenced lives of inhabitants of
Moravian-Silesian region.
On our way back to Moravka just a short stop in the shopping
centre to exchange currency and we headed to hotel, to enjoy a rest and
process lots of new impressions. |

The morning
programme started with the Bulgarian presentation of local businesses, which
they hadn't made the day before. Students prepared not only a lot of
information, videos and interviews with entrepreneurs, but also tasting
plates with delicious cheeses and hams from Razlog region, so it was a
pleasant start to the working day indeed!
Afterwards were the students divided into international mixed
groups and were assigned a task for their common work: create a start-up
business operating in the tourism industry and prepare a particular product:
an euro-weekend trip, presenting the tourists one of the Unesco heritage
sites in the Czech Republic.
The necessary theoretical and entrepreneurial background
information was provided to the student teams by Ms Lenka Kotaskova, who
prepared some instructive presentations of marketing mix and SWOT analysis
theory, applied to the tourism industry.
Some hours of busy working activity followed. Cooperate in a
multinational team; process data from a completely unknown area; share,
divide and delegate tasks within a group; incorporate a marketing-orientated
approach to the produ... these were just some of the challenges students had
to face!
Lunch was planned a bit earlier that day, we needed to have
enough time to visit a beautiful open-air museum, Walachian Town in Roznov
pod Radhostěm. The guided tour in this place presented the students rich and
colourful folclore history of the region, traditions and former lifestyle of
the Walachians. Then we continued our bus journey upwards, to the mountains.
The bus took us to the Pustevny mountain, above 1000 m a.s.l. The amazing
pieces of folk architecture, Libusin and Maměnka were visited and admired.
We were lucky enough to see them beautifully lit by the setting sun. |

Wednesday morning was spent in the
school building of PrimMat school. The guests finally had the opportunity to
meet other students and teachers' team of the host school. A lot of school
activities, successful students' fictional companies, charity events,
interesting student work placements etc. were presented. We were also able
to spent at least some time on the project work of international mixed teams
and make use of the high-tech gadget. The VR googles helped to make students
more familiar with the UNESCO heritage sites in the Czech Republic. A
completely new and exciting experience for most of the students!
Afternoon field trip took us to the Radegast brewery. One of
the biggest in our country and for sure the most beloved beer brand in the
region revealed some of the secrets of its unique bitter taste.
Since the students in the international teams got to know
much better by now, they were (became?) really busily engaged into their
tasks and continued working both before and after dinner. Step by step,
their business plans for euro-weekend were getting clearer outlines...

...and on
Thursday morning the time came, to finalize their products. As the deadline
was aproaching everyone got really excited. Both students and teachers
couldn't wait to see the results. By drawing lots the order of the teams was
determined and the final presentations started. The quality of the student
work was appreciated in the teacher feedback. Engagement and active
cooperation not only inside but also among the teams proved how beneficiary
these students activities and projects are! The official part of the
programme was ended by awarding certificates to all participants.
The village Hukvaldy was waiting for us in the afternoon.
Students visited the Museum of Leos Jansček, the famous Czech composer;
walked through the game reserve under the castle ruin Hukvaldy and admired
the statue of the Cunning little vixen (which supposedly possess the power
of fulfilling wish after touching its tail). Afterward, our trip continued
to the picturesque small town Stramberk. We were welcomed there by amazing
smell of freshly baked "ears", local specialty with lovely smell of
gingerbread. Beautiful scenery of the town situated on a hill, well
preserved historical centre with a charming square and old castle tower "Truba"
together with a lovely sunset left a deep impression in all guests.
Evening time was dedicated to a small party: everybody was
happy to play some games, enjoy dance and teach some specific, national
dances to each other!

Early in the morning our Belgian
friends seperated from us, we said goodbye to each other and they went to
Poland to visit Krakow and Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
The other groups set off to spent all day in Olomouc right
after the breakfast. The capital city of neighbouring Olomoucky region, with
a vibrant atmosphere of student city, with amazing historical centre,
several unique churches and cathedrals and highly developed hospitality
sector was presented to our guests during a guided tour. Our muslim and
orthodox christian friends were really impressed by the beauty of gothic
catholic cathedral and other sights. In the afternoon we had some time to go
shopping for gifts and we were heading back to the hotel to enjoy the last
night and get some rest before the journey back home.
Enriched with plenty of new experiences, tired but happy
everyone set off on their way back home... having in our mind our next
meeting. Everyone is looking forward to seeing friends again in Belgium and

Muncel Camp where they are staying for the whole mobility period. The guests
from Turkey travelled from Istanbul to Bucharest by plane and then by bus to
Hălăucești. The other guests from Belgium, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic
landed at the airport in Iasi and then came to the Muncel Camp.
The impact with nature, the quietness and the very good conditions in the
camp made the 24 students and the 8 accompanying teachers forget about the
tiredness of the road and stay until the evening to discuss the program of
the week and the objectives of mobility in Romania, in a good and friendly
atmosphere. |

Day 2 - 16th May 2022 |
|
|
|
|
The first day of the mobility was full of excitement, surprises and many
meetings and discussions between students, teachers and guests.
The
official opening, after the traditional welcome of the guests with bread and
salt, started with welcome messages from the principal teacher Lidia Mihaela
Neculăeș, the management inspector of ISJ Iaşi,
teacher Cristinel Iordăchioaie, the mayor of Hălăucești Commune, Mr. Petru
Burbulea, as well as the project coordinator deputy principal Iulian Ghercă.
Other educational partners from the locality and, via the internet, students
and teachers from a school in India, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School,
partner in other projects, which were very interested in the Erasmus+
programme, also participated in the start of the mobility.
This was
followed by a short artistic programme offered by the students of "Bogdan Vodă"
Theoretical Highschool in Hălăucești, who impressed the guests in a pleasant
way, by the diversity of the presented moments and by their talent. Romanian
folk songs were sung (Daria Mihălcuț and Leonard Rotaru), dances were
performed (choreography was made by the dance troupe of the highschool - for
both modern and traditional gypsy dance, etc.), poetry recitation in
English, own creation (Nadia Ciobanu) and, last but not least, the program
was enriched and enlivened even more by the magic act of our talented
magician, Iulian Paraschiv.
The next stage of the first day was the presentation of all the schools and
countries involved in the Erasmus + project, with the particularities and
specifics of each of them.
Afterwards, the school was visited and then the guests attended a class of
the "Bogdan Vodă"
Theoretical Highschool timetable in several subjects: Chemistry, English,
Physics, Geography, Arts, Mathematics, Biology and a class for primary
education. Both pupils and teachers were impressed by the modern facilities
(interactive whiteboard, video projector, internet access, laptop in each
classroom) and the involvement of the pupils.
The
second part of the day consisted of a cultural educational and socialising
visit to the city of Piatra Neamţ, where students began to communicate
better with each other and to practice their English language skills and
knowledge, but more importantly, to overcome emotions and to discuss with
each other and exchange impressions about each country. |

This day brought new moments of
joy, socialising and learning - at the same time - for all those involved in
the Erasmus+ project, students and teachers from the five participating
countries.
The program of the day started with "Local economy in Hălăucești commune and
the small businesses in the area" presentations given by Mrs Aissa Neculăeș.
Subsequently, two IT specialists presented and discussed with students and
teachers about the challenges in the field of IT, about digitalization and
the possibility of developing business in this area of the economy, the
advantages and challenges in this field where change and evolution have a
high rate, perhaps the fastest of all economic sectors.
Next, within the workshops, Mr. Ionuţ Olaru presented
to the students - who were grouped in 5 mixed international teams - several
topics such as: Steps to a successful start - What is a Start-Up in IT -
Business plan course - Ideas, Brainstorming - creating your own ideas.
Afterwards, the students started to discuss and identify business ideas and
started working on the business plan, which they are going to carry out
these days.
During this time, teachers visited the school again;
they were informed about the history of the institution, the evolution of
the community of Hălăucești and the educational process, extracurricular and
educational activities, European projects, etc.
In the second part of the day, small local businesses
were visited, discussions were held with local entrepreneurs to exemplify
the theoretical issues that students are debating, in order to promote
business ideas and develop a business plan in the IT field.
The day ended with a social gathering between students
and teachers who discussed, enjoyed each other's company and had the
opportunity to get to know each other better, exchanging views on the
Erasmus experience. |

In the first
part of the fourth day of the mobility, our partners from Belgium, Bulgaria,
Czech Republic and Turkey were presented the Romanian educational system
with its challenges, existing achievements and future prospects, focusing on
the benefits of internationalization of schools and exchange of best
practices in international projects, especially Erasmus. Discussions and
debates also took place on the computer science curriculum in secondary and
highschool education in Romania compared to the education system in partner
countries.
After these presentations and debates, the students
resumed working in teams and continued with the realisation of the IT
specific business plan. They were also presented the following topics:
Production factors and marketing strategies in IT, Attracting resources in
IT - models and individual strategies applied, Determining and attracting
the target audience - models and individual strategies. The
communication between the students from the five partner countries was
effective and very interesting business ideas started to emerge.
During this time, the guest teachers together with the
project team from Romania discussed more details regarding the way and stage
of project implementation, how they will collaborate in the future, how they
feel in this mobility, etc.
In the second part of the day, a cultural and
educational visit took place in the Targu Neamţ area, where the guests,
accompanied by a group of 20 students and 3 teachers from "Bogdan Vodă"

(Reference No. 2020-1-BE02-KA229-074685_2) took place under extremely
difficult conditions due to the pandemic. The host school, partner in the
project, Professionalna Gimnaziya po Transport, from Bulgaria prepared this
mobility and the specific activities provided in the project - respecting
all the rules imposed by the pandemic and ensuring a suitable learning
climate for all participants - students and teachers from the partner
countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, Romania and Turkey (unfortunately due to
existing restrictions the students from Turkey could not be physically
present, they joined some activities in online format).[...]

BULGARIA - Geographical and
Cultural Aspects
Thanks to the Erasmus + KA 229 project dedicated to students - Students
Actively Learning Entrepreneurial Skills (Reference No.
2020-1-BE02-KA229-074685_2) I, together with a group of 4 teachers and 7
students of the Bogdan Voda Theoretical High School Hălăucești, had the
privilege to carry out the first mobility in Razlog, Bulgaria, between 25th
and 29th October 2021.
Bulgaria occupies an eastern
part of the Balkan Peninsula, bordering five countries - Greece and Turkey
to the south, Macedonia and Serbia to the west, and Romania to the north,
and the Black Sea to the east. The total area of the country is 110,994 km2,
which ranks it 105th in the world, a place where it is also in terms of
population (about 7 million in 2020).
Bulgaria has a varied relief,
mountainous in the central and south-western part, hilly in the north-east
and lowland in the north and south-east. The most notable relief units are
the High Danube Plain, the Balkan Mountains, the Upper Thracian Plain and
the Rhodope Mountains. In Bulgaria lies the highest point on the Balkan
Peninsula, Musala Peak in the Rila Mountains at 2,925 m, and the lowest
point in the country is sea level (0 m).

Highschool Razlog, Bulgaria
ERASMUS+ may be just a word for
some, but for others it is an unforgettable experience. This is how I could
sum up my participation in the Students Actively Learning Entrepreneurial
Skills training programme held from 25th - 29th October 2021 in Razlog,
Bulgaria. It is a first mobility with students and teachers from four other
countries: Bulgaria - the host country, Czech Republic, Turkey and Belgium.
The theme of this programme was Economy of Bulgaria and beginners in
agriculture. The five exchanges planned over a period of two years
contribute to the professional and personal training of all participants, to
the development of entrepreneurial mentality, creativity and critical
thinking in new cultural and educational contexts.[...] |

Impressions of Students
Participating in Mobility in Bulgaria
Ever since I was given the opportunity to participate, I've been a little
reluctant about what was going to happen. There were plenty of times when I
wanted to give up and find reasons to avoid it. The experience I had during
my visit in the first mobility of the Erasmus+ project was one that you can
only feel if you participate.
In my opinion, when you say Bulgaria
you are only assimilating what already exists in that country, not what you
might discover. By participating in the first mobility I was going to
discover not only places but also different people.[...]
